DIY Replacement French Doors on a GE Monogram Refrigerator

The GE Monogram refrigerator comes with doors that are interchangeable to offer different styles. There are doors that are manufactured to match your cabinetry, stainless steel or solid colors. Replacing the doors on the Monogram refrigerator does not require much time, and you can swap the doors out from other Monogram doors purchased from GE.

Instructions

      Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet for the GE Monogram refrigerator.

      Unscrew the top cap from the top of the refrigerator, and then remove it. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two front screws followed by the two back screws.

      Open the doors to both the fresh food side and the freezer side of the refrigerator.

      Locate and unscrew the two screws on the toekick plate grill on the bottom of the refrigerator, and then pull it toward you to pull it off. There is one screw on each side of the toekick plate.

      Unplug the wire harness and the water line coupler from under the freezer door. Grasp one end and pull it apart at the connection.

      Unscrew the screws on the door-side of the hinge located on the top of the refrigerator. Unscrew two screws on the freezer hinge and two screws on the fresh food side.

      Lift the door up and away from the refrigerator.

      Lower the new door onto the bottom hinge until it sits securely in place.

      Reverse the removal instructions to install the doors.
