Disassembling an Amana Dishwasher Door

If you maintain your own Amana dishwasher, you may have to disassemble the door to make repairs. The dishwasher's soap dispenser, vent motor and control panel are all located between the inner and outer panels of the door. You can take the inner panel out of the door without removing the entire door from its hinges.

Open the door fully and locate the back of the control panel. Ask an assistant to support the weight of the control panel while you loosen the screws. Have your assistant lower the panel slightly so you can access the ribbon connectors coming from the dishwasher door. Disconnect the connectors and pull the control panel out of the door.
