How to Replace the Fan in a Samsung RB195BSBB Freezer

The circulation in your freezer is important for making sure that all of the items in your freezer stay frozen. If you hear a clicking noise and notice that your food isn't freezing normally in your Samung RB195BSBB model refrigerator freezer then you may need to manually replace the evaporator fan. A new fan part can be ordered from the Samsung manufacturer or purchased from an online retailer.

Instructions

      Move your Samsung RB195BSBB refrigerator away from the wall, and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

      Open the freezer door, and remove all of the items. Turn the control switch in the back of the freezer to the "Off" position.

      Locate the fan in the back of the freezer, then remove the screws from the cover over the fan using a Phillips screwdriver.

      Lift up and remove the entire cover from the freezer. Remove the screws from the mounting plate holding the fan in place.

      Pull the fan out of the compartment, then disconnect the two wire harnesses by pulling them out with your hand.

      Insert the new fan part into the compartment, and reconnect the two wire harnesses to the fan. Reinsert the screws to the mounting plate in order to hold the fan in place.

      Place the fan cover back on, and reinsert the screws into the cover. Place the food back into the freezer.

      Close the freezer door, then reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet.
