The GE Monogram refrigerators in use today are self-defrosting appliances that save a lot of work in the kitchen. When the defrost cycle kicks in, the resulting water drains through a tube into the drain pan at the bottom of the appliance. Under normal conditions, the water that ends up in the pan evaporates. If the pan is damaged, the water will leak onto the floor before it has a chance to evaporate. Replace the drain pan to fix the problem.
