Remove all items from the freezer side of your Kenmore refrigerator.
Unplug the power cord.
Remove the freezer door by removing the bolts at the top and bottom of the door. If you have a side-by-side refrigerator, remove only the freezer door. If you have a top-mount, remove both the freezer and refrigerator side doors.
Remove the grill panel below the door by popping it out by hand or unscrewing it, if it has screws holding it in place. For a top-mount, you will remove the panel between the freezer and refrigerator section by pushing it in on the left side and then sliding it toward the right.
Grasp the edge of the freezer floor, and slowly pull it toward you until you have removed it from the freezer.
