Move the Whirlpool refrigerator away from the wall, and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Turn the water supply valve on the back of the refrigerator to the "Off" position.
Remove the two screws from the bottom base grille at the bottom of the refrigerator using a Phillips screwdriver, then lift the grille from refrigerator.
Press on the gray collar of the water tube directly at the bottom of the refrigerator where the base grill was, then pull on the tube to fully disconnect it.
Remove the bolts from the top left hinge cover of the freezer door using a 3/16-inch Allen wrench, then remove the cover.
Press the gray collar on the top water tube connector, then pull on the tube to disconnect it.
Pull the entire water tube tube out of the side of the door, and set the broken tube part aside.
Slide the new water tube part down the side of the door, and press the top of the tube to the connector.
Place the hinge cover back onto the left hinge, and reinsert the cover bolts.
Reconnect the bottom tube to its connector, and place the bottom base grille back on. Reinsert the screws to the grille.
Turn the water supply valve back to the "On" position, then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
