Unplug the refrigerator's power cord from the wall socket.
Open the freezer door to remove the ice bin and the panel to the left of the bin. The panel slides up and out.
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the left edge of the 61004881 ice enclosure. Pull the enclosure forward and tip it downward from the rear edge to reveal the wiring harness for the motor.
Press the tabs on the wiring harness plug to release it from the power socket inside the freezer. You can now remove the ice enclosure and the motor attached to it.
Take out the screws holding the motor and relay to the ice enclosure. The screws are not all the same size, so write down the location of each screw as a guide to reassembly.
Take off the U-shaped clip on the end of the motor shaft, twisting the clip clockwise. This releases the motor completely from the ice enclosure.
Fasten the motor and relay assembly to the new ice enclosure part. Insert the motor shaft into its bracket on the ice enclosure and secure it with the U-shaped clip. secure the motor to the new part using the screws you removed in Step 5.
Connect the plug on the end of the wiring harness to the socket on the inside of the freezer.
Secure the ice enclosure to the ice maker unit with the screws you removed in Step 3.
Slide the panel that you removed in Step 2 back into position.
Replace the ice bin and plug in the refrigerator's power cord.
