AquaSource Tub Shower Faucet 0309693 Directions

Older model faucets depended on the user to regulate the amount of hot water coming out of the faucet. Unfortunately, this system led to burns on small children and even adults. Because of this, several modern faucets such as the AquaSource 0309693 faucet set feature anti-scalding hardware that can prevent the water from getting too hot. This feature is user adjustable to customize the level of hot water in the shower or bath.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the hot water faucet handle. Ensure that the faucet is set to the “Off” position. Remove the center cap on the faucet handle and use the Allen wrench to unscrew the handle from its base. Set both pieces aside somewhere safe.

    • 2

Examine the inner workings of the faucet handle. Look for the red plastic circle that surrounds the faucet handle like a sleeve. Using needle-nose pliers, pull this red circle straight toward you. The red plastic should slide out easily if the AquaSource faucet is set to the off position. Stop pulling when you experience serious tension.

    • 3

Using a screwdriver, adjust the red plastic by turning it clockwise or counterclockwise. If you want to limit the amount of hot water further, turn the part clockwise. Turning the red disc counterclockwise will set the faucet to a warmer temperature. When finished, snap the red disc back into place by pressing down on it.

Replace the faucet handle and protective cap and turn the water on. If the temperature is not as hot or as cool as desired, repeat the process and adjust the system further.
