Keep your ReliOn model RH1300 humidifier running efficiently by periodically changing its filter. Mineral deposits from your home's water supply are captured by the filter, leading to clogs. Frequent use of the humidifier or using water with a high mineral content causes clogs to develop faster. Check the filter every two weeks during routine cleaning, and replace it as soon as you notice clogs. The RH1300 humidifier was discontinued, but the filter is changed in the same manner as current models.

     Move the power switch on the humidifier to its "Off" position. Unplug the unit.

     Remove and empty the reservoir tank to remove any water remaining in the tank.

     Grasp the upper housing with one hand and the base of the humidifier with the other hand. Pull the housing up and away from the base to remove it.

   • 4

     Remove the old filter from the base, and position a new filter in its place.

   • 5

     Align the upper housing properly on the base, and press down firmly to snap it into place.
