Determine where you want to install the softheat baseboard heater in your home. Consider installing the heater in the living room to best circulate the heat.
Install, or have a professional electrician install a wire that will supply enough electricity for your unit. For example, if your baseboard heater is 140 volts, you will want a wire connection that can support that electricity.
Slide the wire through the baseboard heater's conjunction box, on the back left side of the appliance, then connect the wire to the terminal in the conjunction box.
Attach the baseboard heater to the baseboard of the wall, then use a power drill with a narrow drill bit to drill the holes into the wall from the hole inserts on the heater.
Insert the screws into the baseboard heater, and tighten the screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Turn the electrical power back on from your main circuit breaker, then test your baseboard heater by turning it on for the first time.
