Specifications

• The Comfortmaker forced air furnace is approximately 40 inches in height, 23 inches wide and 29 inches deep. The furnace has an overall voltage of 115 volts and can be used as a natural gas or propane unit. Comfortmaker forced air furnaces have an automatic ignition system.

Blower and Vent Specifications

• The blower on the Comfortmaker furnace is a multispeed model with a heating capacity input of 80,000 British thermal units, or Btu. The furnace thermostat can also be set to “Cool,” with a blower cooling capacity of up to 2 to 4 tons. The vent on the furnace is direct and is 2 to 3 inches in size. Controlling the temperature for heating and cooling is accomplished through a central thermostat in the home.

Heat Exchanger

• The “RPJ” in the Comfortmaker furnace name comes from the heat exchanger, which is the “RPJ” stainless steel heat exchanger. The furnace name is the "RPJ II," while the heat exchanger is called the "RPJ III." Made out of stainless steel, the heat exchanger helps resist corrosion and may increase overall heating efficiency and temperature stability.
