How to Wire a Coleman Echelon HC3B-030F1

The Coleman Echelon HC3B-030F1 is a split system heat pump designed for residential use. Unlike an air conditioner, a heat pump pulls warm air out of your home in order to cool it and pulls warm air from the outside to warm it. Wiring the HC3B-030F1 to your existing air system is a simple process, provided you can move the large device to its proper position.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the Echelon on your house's heat pump section. This refers to the concrete slab on the side of your house, near your house's heat pump ports.

    • 2

Remove the valve cap on your heat pump. Apply an allen wrench to the valve to open it even further.

    • 3

Insert your heat pump's copper tubing into the valve, then replace the valve cap after doing so.

    • 4

Connect the other end of the copper tubing to the heat pump port, which should be sticking out of the side of your house's exterior wall. The heat pump is now connected to your air system.

    • 5

Connect the heat pump's power cord to an exterior power socket, which should be located near your heat pump port. You are now able to power the device.
