How to Troubleshoot the Electronic Control for Frigidaire's Double Wall Oven

Frigidaire built-in wall ovens have an electronic oven control board located in the oven's control panel. The electronic oven control board controls the oven functions and also houses the user input buttons and display. If the error codes "F0," "F1," "F5" or "F6" are shown on the display, it indicates a failure of the electronic oven control board. To repair the oven, you must remove the electronic oven control board and install a new one.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the oven's power supply in your home's main electric panel.

    • 2

Open the top oven door, then remove the screws below the control panel. Close the oven door.

    • 3

Rotate the control panel down and away from the oven.

    • 4

Remove the screws securing the electronic oven control board to the interior of the control panel housing; however, do not remove the wire connectors.

    • 5

Remove the overlay from the front of the electronic oven control board. Affix it to the new electronic oven control board, if the overlay was not included with the new component.

    • 6

Install the new electronic oven control board. Use the screws removed from the old electronic control board to secure the new component into position.

    • 7

Transfer the wire connectors one at a time from the old electronic oven control board to the new one. Each wire connector has a tab that must be depressed to release the connector from the board. When installing the connectors, ensure that the tab locks into place.

Reassemble the oven, reversing the steps you took to disassemble. Restore power to the oven.
