A power surge or power failure can affect your stove's ability to respond to touch commands. You can troubleshoot the issue by resetting the power on your home's circuit breaker or fuse box. The oven's controls should respond to your touch commands when the power is reset and requires manually resetting its previously configured controls.
The oven light might be approaching the end of its life cycle and may require a new 40-watt bulb to restore proper functioning. The oven light is extremely hot while the oven is in use and should be replaced only after the oven has cooled off completely after cooking.
The oven lockout feature may be enabled, which disables the range's control panel while active. The oven lockout can be turned on or off by continuously pressing the oven lockout control for three seconds. The control panel displays an illuminated lock icon when the control lock is on. Once disabled, turn off the oven light by simply pressing the oven light button on the control panel.
You may need to reset the oven to restore use of the oven light. Disconnecting the oven's power cord from the electrical outlet and waiting one minute before plugging it back in cycles the appliance's power. Once reset, the oven's clock requires manual configuration to set the correct time. Plug the oven into a grounded wall outlet to protect it from future power issues.
