Surface Control Knob Error

• If you are not pushing the control knob all the way over to “Lite,” the burners will not light for you. You must push the control knob all the way in and turn it over to “Lite” all the way until you see the burner ignite. Once that happens, you can select your flame size.

Burner Ports Clogged

• If a clog exists in the burner ports, you must clean it before the range will light for you. The burner must be off when cleaning. The ports are small holes. Use a needle or small gauge wire to stick in the ports and clear out any clogs.

Power Outlet Disconnect

• The range should be connected to a power outlet via a power cord from the stove. If it is not plugged in or loose, this can cause the burners to not light. Check your power outlet to confirm that the range is plugged into it. If not, give it a firm push into the power outlet.

Electric Outage

• If your electricity is out, this means you do not have any power to your range; however, your burners will still light. You just need to light them manually. To do this, hold a lit match at the burner head and very slowly turn the control knob to “Lite.” Use caution to prevent burning yourself while lighting the burners manually. The oven should never be lit manually.

Gas Supply Problem

• Test another gas appliance in your home, such as a dryer or heater, to determine if your gas is working. If you appear to have no gas supply, this is the cause of your problem. Contact your gas supply provider to determine why you have no gas.
