Repairing Wolf Oven-Top Burners

Wolf has created a wide range of conventional built-in ovens as well as ovens with 30- to 48-inch gas ranges. The gas ranges come in sealed or unsealed varieties, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Burners that are not functioning properly may need cleaning, especially if you do not have a regular schedule that you follow. If the burners do not work correctly after cleaning, you may need to repair them.

Instructions

    • 1

Lift up the front of the Wolf range to open the hood. Slide a putty knife under the lip of the range on the left and right hand sides to release the clips holding the range in place if it doesn't lift up easily.

    • 2

Scrub around the ignitor near the faulty burner with a toothbrush to remove soot and dirt buildup if the ignitor is not working. The ignitor is located next to the gas burner.

    • 3

Remove the screw on the bracket holding the gas burner in place. The bracket is at the base of the burner. Lift up on the burner. Insert a brush into the flash tube to clean out any debris. Clean out the port holes on the burner using a needle. Clean out the burner valve that leads to the burner using a needle as well.

Pull out on the knobs at the front of the stove if a spark isn't created. Lift up on the switch behind the knob. Loosen the screws holding the ignition switch in place. Loosen the smaller screws on the switch and pull out the wires. Insert the wires into a new switch in the same orientation.
