Change or recharge the nailer's battery if you see all four of the nailer's LED lights flash four times. Test the nailer again after recharging the battery. If the battery does not hold a charge, you will need to replace the battery with a new one.
Remove the battery and reinsert it if the four LED lights on the nailer flash continuously. Continuous flashing indicates there is a jam in the battery pack. Simply reinsert the battery to clear the jam and test the nailer again.
Disengage the lock-off switch if no nails will fire. Like a safety on a firearm, the Dewalt Nailer is equipped with a lock-off switch that prevents any nails from firing until it is disengaged.
Change the nail depth setting if nails stand rather than firing completely. Dewalt Nailers allow operators to specify the depth to which the nail is fired, Depth setting go from 1 (shallowest) to 6 (deepest), so adjust the depth setting accordingly if you need nails to penetrate either deeper or shallower.
