How to Replace an Outer Glass on a Frigidaire 30 Wall Oven

Your Frigidaire wall oven comes equipped with a glass panel that allows you to peer inside the oven. The door has one glass pane on the outside and one on the inside. A cracked front panel on your oven door can prevent you from using the oven effectively. You'll need to remove and disassemble the door on your Frigidaire wall oven to replace the glass.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the power supply to your oven and open the door. Don gloves and carefully remove any broken glass from the frame in the center of the oven door.

    • 2

Lift up the metal latches over the door hinges to release the oven door.

    • 3

Grasp the handle of the Frigidaire oven and lift it up to remove it. Place the oven face-up on a table or other work surface.

    • 4

Remove the screws along the top and bottom of the oven door. Take out the screws on the metal brackets on the sides of the door and remove the brackets.

    • 5

Separate the two halves of the oven door to gain access to the top glass.

    • 6

Remove any remaining glass from the top half of the oven door and fit a new pane in its place. You can purchase a new tempered pane from the manufacturer, home improvement center or large appliance store. Provide the clerk with the model number of your oven to match the glass.

    • 7

Fit the two halves of the oven door together and replace the screws.

    • 8

Place the oven door back on the Frigidaire and flip the latches down over the hinges.
