How to Fix a Kenmore Stove F30 Error

If you see "F30" flash on the display of the control panel for your Kenmore stove, you have an error code that indicates there is an open circuit in the wiring of your oven's sensor probe. To fix the F30 error, you must replace the sensor probe. Order a new sensor probe from your oven's manufacturer or an online retailer. Once the probe is replaced the error code will stop flashing on the display.

  Turn off the electrical power to your Kenmore stove from your kitchen circuit breaker.

  Move the stove away from the wall and remove the screws from the lower back panel using a Phillips screwdriver.

  Lift off the lower back panel and locate the plug-in, a small white plastic connector for the sensor probe, on the right side of the stove.

  Remove the two screws from the metal mounting plate connecting the sensor probe to the stove.

  Disconnect the sensor probe's plug-in from the stove terminal and pull out the entire sensor probe part.

  Connect the plug-in of the new sensor probe part to the stove terminal and slide the rest of the probe back into the stove.

  Reinsert the screws into the mounting plate and place the lower back panel back onto the stove.

  Reinsert the screws into the lower back panel and turn the electrical power for the stove back on from the kitchen circuit breaker.
