Instructions

    • 1

Determine a location to install the humidifier based on the manufacturer’s recommendations. Choose a spot in the air ductwork of your furnace where the ambient temperature is between 32 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Hold your template up and check to ensure it’s level before taping it in place and tracing around it.

    • 2

Remove the template gently and cut the rectangular opening in the ductwork. Remove the cover of the humidifier by loosening the thumbscrew on the bottom.

    • 3

Grab onto the top of the tray and pull the assembly out of the housing on the humidifier pad assembly.

    • 4

Position the securing clips on the inside of the assembly and then set the humidifier housing into the hole. The locking tabs should be in place on the top and bottom sheet metal edges of the hole. Check to ensure the humidifier is level.

    • 5

Push the securing clips in until the unit is completely sealed, and drill holes to fasten the three sheet metal screws at the top part of the humidifier housing. Reinstall the pad assembly inside the humidifier housing. Secure the cover to the housing with the thumbscrew at the bottom.
