Check the batteries in the fan's remote to see if they need replacing. Harbor Breeze fans are compatible with a wide range of remote controls, and a common issue encountered by fan users is the fan's failure to respond to remote control commands. This is more often simply a case of dead batteries in the remote than any critical failure in the fan, so see what size batteries your universal fan remote uses and replace them to see if the fan now responds to remote commands.

Tighten the locking bolt on the downrod and ball assembly. A wobbling fan, one of the most common technical issues experienced by fans of this type, can be easily resolved by using channel locks to tighten the locking bolt on the threaded down-rod and ball assembly, which is located just above the blade housing.

Switch the direction of the fan blades if you feel warm air coming from the fan instead of cool air. Harbor Breeze fans should spin clockwise during warm weather to circulate cool air and counter-clockwise during cold weather to circulate warm air. Therefore switch the direction of the fan using the black switch above the blade housing if you feel warm air instead of cool air, or vice versa.
