Turn off the range's power supply in your home's service panel.
Open the oven door, and flip the hinge locks down. The hinge locks are located on each door hinge, and when locked, they are flush against the doorjamb. If necessary, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the hinge locks down, unlocking the door.
Close the door to the "broil stop" position, and lift the door up and off the range. Set the door aside.
Remove the oven racks from inside of the oven.
Remove the lower panel of the range if you're replacing the bake igniter. The panel is secured using two thumb screws on the rear of the panel, and it lifts right out. If you're replacing the broil burner, skip this step.
Remove the burner shield assembly by removing the screws securing it in position. On some Frigidaire models, the broil burner is attached to the burner shield and is removed with the assembly.
Remove the screws securing the igniter to the side of the burner or to the oven frame. Pull the igniter away from the rear wall, and disconnect the wire connector. Remove and discard the igniter.
Connect the wire connector of the new igniter to the range's wire harness, and tuck the wire behind the rear wall of the range. Secure the new igniter to the side of the burner or to the oven frame using the screws that were removed.
Reinstall the burner shield assembly, using the screws that were removed to secure it into position.
Replace the lower panel of the oven, if applicable to your repair.
Reinstall the oven racks.
Reinstall the oven door, and flip up the hinge locks to lock the door to the doorjamb.
