How to Replace a Whirlpool Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) Ignitor

Whirlpool manufactures a line of self-cleaning ovens with a direct spark ignition feature. On these ovens, an electronic ignitor sparks and lights the burners. If your burners aren't lighting, it could be the result of a faulty ignitor. This doesn't mean your stove is ruined, as ignitors can be replaced. In fact, you can do so on your own in a matter of minutes.
