How to Replace the Thermal Fuse on a KitchenAid KEMC308K Double Oven

The KitchenAid KEMC308K is a built-in oven manufactured by Whirlpool. The oven has a thermal fuse in the control panel that monitors the temperature of the panel to prevent the electronic oven control from being damaged. When the panel overheats, the fuse trips, which cuts power to the oven. The fuse cannot be reset; you have to replace it. Whirlpool ovens have been known to blow thermal fuses during the self-cleaning cycle, as well as when the oven door is allowed to remain open for an extended period of time. To prevent the fuse from blowing, keep the door closed whenever possible during the operation of the oven.
