Shut off power to your Goodman furnace at the household breaker panel and wait for the furnace to cool down completely before proceeding. Stop immediately if you smell gas, leave the home then call your gas company or local emergency services.
Check the flue and vents in the furnace and clear away anything that may obstruct proper airflow. Debris can trip the pressure switch circuit and the blower motor, which will cause the furnace to lock out.
Inspect the pressure switch hose to make sure it is not kinked, pinched or blocked. Straighten out and reposition the hose as necessary.
Check the drain valve and clean out any debris that may be blocking it.
Open the blower compartment access cover and look inside with a flashlight to inspect the draft inducer blower fan. Clean it with a long-handled stiff brush if it appears excessively dirty then close the access panel.
