Pry up the four plastic retaining plugs on top of the microwave with a flat head screwdriver. Spin the appliance around, and remove the pair of screws at the top of the rear panel. Find the correct template and mounting brackets for your particular oven in the installation kit.
Screw the correct rear brackets to the back of the oven using the screws removed in the previous step. The brackets should be level and flush with the microwave when they are correctly installed. Cut out the paper templates for your oven from the sheets provided in the kit. There should be two templates in total, numbered "1" and "2."
Place template 2 inside the cabinet above where you plan to hang the oven. The markings on the page correspond to the top of the microwave and guide you where to drill. You can cut the template in half along the markings if there is a divider in the cupboards. Cut along the markings on the front edge if the cabinet is less than 12 inches deep. Position template 1 along the front edge of the cabinet, lining up the arrow with the center line of template 2. Tape both in place.
Confirm that the hole center lines on template 2 are straight, and verify that the distance between the left and right center holes is the same as indicted on the template. It's important to position the template correctly so you can drill holes in the right place.
Put on safety glasses, and empty the cabinet of food and other breakables if you haven't done so already. Make a small dent with a nail or center punch for the drill to grip in the black drilling points indicated on the template.
Drill through the black drilling points with a 1/4-inch bit, being careful to hold the drill straight. Remove the template, clean up any remaining sawdust in the holes, and select four bolts of appropriate length from the installation kit. Place the two in-cabinet mounting straps, which act as washers, between the front and rear drill holes on each side. Pass the bolts through the straps and the bottom of the cabinet. The correct bolts should protrude between 3/16 inches and 3/4 inches through the bottom of the cabinet. The bolts must be the correct length to securely hole the microwave tight against the underside of the cabinet.
Place the microwave on a stack of books, so the top panel touches the underside of the cabinet. Line up the holes in the top of the microwave with the drill holes. Tighten each bolt a little at a time until the oven is securely fastened to the underside of the cabinet. Remove the books and the rubber feet from the bottom of the oven.
Open the microwave door, and place the plastic turntable support over the driveshaft protruding through the bottom of the oven cavity. Place the glass turntable on top of the support; the grooves on the underside match up with the shape of the support.
Plug in the microwave; the display lights up, and the oven is ready for use after a few seconds. Place a cup of tap water in the oven, and set it to heat on high for two minutes. The cup should cup out boiling hot if the oven is working correctly – be careful not to burn yourself.
