How to Set the Temperature Probe of a Frigidaire Microwave

You can cook and roast foods in a Frigidaire over-the-range microwave just as thoroughly and masterfully as if you were using a built-in wall oven or freestanding range. The included temperature probe complements the microwave's diverse and robust cooking features because it has a direct connection through the electronic keypad and LCD display screen. You can use these buttons and controls to set the temperature for the probe and the Frigidaire microwave will automatically remember your preferences.

      Insert the needle-like end of the temperature probe into the middle of the dish that's sitting inside the microwave. Connect the other end of the probe to the temperature probe outlet or socket on the right side of the microwave's wall. Close the door.

      Press the "Cook/Roast Temp" button once, then use the numbers on the keypad to manually enter a desired temperature. Additionally, pressing the "Cook/Roast Temp" button up to four times automatically sets the temperature to "Medium," "Well" and "Simmer," respectively.

      Press the "Power Level" button, if you want to change this settng. Use the numbers on the keypad to select a level, 1-10.

      Press the "Start" button. The Frigidaire microwave signals after your selected temperature is reached. This signal may vary by microwave model, so you might see an indicator on the control panel or you might hear a beeping indicator. Consult your owner's manual (see Resources). The oven will also hold your food at this temperature for one hour. You'll hear an alarm or beep after the hold time has expired.
