How to Reset a Dacor Microwave Oven

Resetting a microwave is sometimes necessary to correct previous programming. You may need to reset a microwave if the clock is wrong, the number entered on the timer is incorrect or if you are unsure of previous settings and want to revert to the default. This is true of all microwaves, including Dacor, which makes several varieties of professional-style microwaves. A Dacor oven has many features, including a child lock, which you can remove by resetting it.

Instructions

Reset the time on a Dacor microwave by pressing the "Timer/Clock" button. Press "2." Enter the time by pressing the four digits to represent the time. For example, if it is 6:20, enter "0-6-2-0." Finish the sequence by pressing "Timer/Clock."

Reset the entire microwave to its default settings by unplugging it. The time will need to be re-entered. The microwave also will reset if power to the electrical outlet is disrupted by a blown fuse or the circuit breaker trips. You'll need to replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker before you can reprogram the microwave.
