How to Hang a Frigidaire Microwave

Pull the range away from the wall. Locate the studs in the wall where you will mount the microwave using a stud finder. Mark the location of each stud with a pencil. Place the mounting bracket on the wall and level it using the carpenter’s level. Mark the locations where you will need to drill holes on the wall.

Drill the holes necessary to hang the mounting bracket using a drill and drill bit. You must make the holes that do not go into a stud large enough to accept a toggle anchor for mounting the microwave. Drill the holes necessary to secure the microwave to the cabinet bottom using a drill, drill bit and cabinet mounting template.

Cut a hole into the cabinet bottom using the drill and hole saw. This will allow you to insert the electrical cord through it into the cabinet. Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the hardware that came with the bracket and the Phillips screwdriver. Have someone help you lift the microwave into place and secure it on the mounting bracket.

Insert the power cord into the opening that you cut as you lift the microwave into place. Install the screws through the cabinet bottom into the top of the microwave using a Phillips screwdriver. Install the grease filters into the bottom of the microwave. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet and program the proper time into the appliance.
