How to Reset a GE Spacemaker XL1800 Microwave

The Spacemaker XL1800 by GE Appliances is just as much a computer as it is a cooking machine. GE programmed it with automatic features that simplify defrosting meat and poultry--there is even a "Quick Defrost." It is also programmed to melt foods ranging from caramel to marshmallows. If you have a personal computer you know that no machine is fail-safe and neither are microwaves. GE anticipated many problems that you could encounter and made the remedy just as uncomplicated as using the microwave to cook.
