The Panasonic Genius Microwave has a child lock feature that prevents children from using the microwave. Not only can children make a mess in a microwave, but they may also burn themselves on overheated food. While the name of the feature may give the impression of a locked door, this feature actually turns off the cooking capability of the microwave. The child lock can be turned on and off at any time using a quick button combination on the microwave's control panel.
