Oven Capacity

• Microwaves come in several sizes based on where they will be used and consumer preference. The Panasonic NN-SD967S is a "Luxury Full Size" model with a 2.2 cubic feet oven capacity. The interior of the oven features a 16.5-inch rotating plate to help large dishes and foods cook evenly.

Exterior

• Although the Panasonic NN-SD967S is a full size microwave, it can act as either a countertop model or be built-in under a cabinet provided the space is adequate. The exterior of this appliance is stainless steel and both inside and out can be wiped clean without the use of harsh chemicals or bleach. The door window features a highly reflective mirror finish with a silver exterior wrap. The door is also locked by a push button locking mechanism to help prevent accidents.

Menu

• The user menu on the NN-SD967S consists of a six-digit expanded mode display and a pop-out dial with a flat panel button control system that displays in multiple languages. The buttons and additional dial allow the user to control the time and temperature of cooking accurately.

Power

• The Panasonic NN-SD967S features 10 levels of power cooking along with five stages of multi-level (e.g. thaw and then cook) cooking. In fact, this microwave requires up to 1460 watts, or 12.7 amps, but cooks up to 1250 watts and plugs into a standard 120-volt plug.

Additional Features

• Aside from standard microwave cooking, the Panasonic NN-SD967S features sensor cook technology that can read the temperature of the item being cooked and cook it longer based on the type of food it is and the desired temperature. The microwave also has a sensor reheat feature that utilizes "Genius Sensor" technology. This feature uses information about the food you have input to tell how long it must reheat the food when it has come from the refrigerator. The Keep Warm feature reheats food left in the microwave at regular intervals keeping food hot for as long as needed. The Panasonic NN-SD967S also features an "Inverter Turbo Defrost," popcorn mode and a timer.
