# How to Replace the Halogen Light Inside My Kenmore Elite Microwave Oven
The Kenmore Elite is a microwave oven made by the Kenmore Company that has since been discontinued. It was a freestanding unit, meaning it is not mounted on a wall. The microwave oven has a halogen bulb to provide light to the microwave. If the light ever burns out, you can replace it yourself.
Things You'll Need
- Screwdriver
- 120-volt, 20-watt halogen bulb

Unplug the Kenmore Elite microwave oven from its power source.

Turn the microwave around and unscrew the light bulb compartment in the upper backside of the microwave.

Pull the old light bulb out of its receptacle.

Push the new light bulb into the light bulb receptacle and close the light bulb's door. Screw the door shut with the screwdriver.
