Instructions

    • 1

Remove the grill grates from the barbecue. This gives enough room to roast the chicken. Leave the heat plates beneath the grates intact.

    • 2

Pat the cleaned whole chicken with your choice of herbs and seasonings. For example, 1 tablespoon each of sage, salt and paprika creates a delicious flavor.

    • 3

Slide the pointed end of the grill's spit through the neck hole of the chicken. Slide the chicken down the length of the spit until it is located in the middle.

    • 4

Bind the chicken's wings and legs with butcher's twine to keep them tight against the body.

    • 5

Insert the spit with the chicken on it in the slots in the top of the barbecue. Push the rotisserie button and adjust the temperature to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Close the barbecue and let the chicken slow-roast for approximately two hours.
