Over-the-Range

• Over-the-range (OTR) microwaves rest directly above a kitchen range to enhance the functionality of a kitchen while providing multi-speed venting. As of 2010, Panasonic features two stainless steel OTR microwaves. One of these microwaves is the Panasonic NN-SD297SR, and it features a stainless steel design. This microwave has a 2.0 cubic foot capacity as well as the advanced Inverter Technology cooking platform. Inverter Technology microwaves are only found in Panasonic products and it differs from traditional microwave cooking as it delivers a constant stream of microwave energy. This microwave is outfitted with fingerprint-resistant stainless steel plating to eliminate smudging that is common among stainless steel appliances.

Commercial

• Panasonic commercial microwaves are developed to support the demanding cooking needs of professional kitchens. As of 2010, Panasonic features nine commercial microwaves outfitted with stainless steel exteriors. These microwaves feature an interior capacity ranging from 0.6 cubic feet to 1.6 cubic feet. The Panasonic NE-2180 commercial microwave is an example of a large commercial stainless steel microwave. This microwave features a cooking capacity of 1.6 cubic feet and is outfitted with 16 cooking programs and five power levels. Due to the requirements of a commercial microwave, this product is outfitted with Sonic Steamer technology, which cooks food up to four times faster than traditional microwaves.

Countertop

• Panasonic features an entire countertop microwave line designed with stainless steel exteriors. These microwaves feature an interior capacity ranging from 0.8 cubic feet to 2.2 cubic feet. As of 2010, Panasonic features 18 stainless steel countertop microwaves. The Panasonic NN-SD767S is an example of a full-size stainless steel microwave. This microwave measures 1.6 cubic feet and is outfitted with the Inverter Technology cooking system as well as 10 power settings and 18 sensor cooking menu items. One of the more advanced features found in this microwave is the One-touch Sensor Cooking system, which utilizes sensors to automatically adjust the heat and cooking time depending on the type of food you're preparing.
