Check the power cord and ensure the microwave is firmly plugged in to a working electrical outlet. Check to see whether the fuse or circuit breaker needs to be replaced or reset.
Lift out the glass tray from the microwave and wipe it clean with glass cleaner, as the tray may not rotate properly if dirty. Dry with a towel and return the tray to its position inside the microwave. Use your fingers to turn the tray in both directions to ensure it is balanced on the turntable.
Place a cup of water in a glass container and close the microwave door. Set the cooking time for one minute and press "Start."
Hold your hand next to the vent in the rear of the microwave while the microwave is operating and feel for air movement.
Remove the glass container carefully when the minute has elapsed. Touch the water lightly with a fingertip.
Contact an authorized service center if the water is not warm to the touch or there was no air coming from the vent while the microwave was operating.
