Kenmore Elite Ultra Wave Microwave Directions

Kenmore Elite microwaves, including the Ultra Wave model, offer several different cooking features including several power levels, auto cooking and defrost, warming options and sensor cooking. Available for purchase online and in select appliance and home retail stores, the Ultra Wave microwave offers a consistent flow of power to the microwave using sensors to determine humidity and cooking time requirements. Operating the Kenmore microwave is relatively simple.

      Set the clock by pressing "Stop/Clear" and then "Clock". Enter the correct numbers for the time of day, followed by "Start." Press the number "1" for a.m. or the number "2" for p.m. and then "Start" again.

      Place food items inside the microwave and close the door. Select the amount of time required and press "Start" to begin cooking.

      Use the automatic cooking sensors by pressing "Stop/Clear" and then the desired food sensor button. For instance, press "Potato" to cook a potato, "Pizza" for up to three slices of pizza, or "Frozen Vegetable" for up to 4 cups of frozen vegetables. Press "Start" to begin cooking.

      Use the "Soften" option to soften foods for baking or cooking, such as butter or cream cheese. Place the item in the microwave, shut the door and press "Stop/Clear". Select "Soften" and then press the number "2" until the correct food shows on the display. Press "Start" to begin.

      Use the "Auto Defrost" option by pressing "Auto" and then following the directions on the display. Enter the weight of the food item in pounds, followed by "Start".
