GE's Spacesaver JVM 1490 over-the-range microwave oven has an installed light bulb that performs two duties: It turns on when you open the microwave door, and it also lights the interior of the microwave while it is running, to let you monitor your food as it cooks. Through normal use, the light bulb will eventually burn out. You can access the light compartment in the bottom of the unit and replace the microwave oven light without much fuss.
