GE Spacemaker Microwave Ovens That Vent Outside

If you've ever burned food you were cooking on the stove or smelled last night's fish dinner for days, you know the value of having an exhaust fan over your cooktop. If you don't have a range hood, you can eliminate odors and smoke with a venting system in your microwave that draws smells outside. General Electric (GE) offers around 100 microwave models, and about 40 of them can be externally vented. That count includes several GE Spacemaker models.
  1. GE JVM3670SK

    • One of the most expensive GE options for external venting is the JVM3670SK, which has 1.8 cubic feet of capacity and 1,100 watts of cooking power. GE suggests a retail price of $849 for this model in December 2010. The JVM3670SK is 35.875 inches wide, 16.40625 inches high and 15.25 inches deep. It has a stainless steel finish and a 14.25-inch recessed turntable. The wire oven rack included with this appliance can be placed in two different positions. This model has 10 power levels and a three-speed exhaust fan. It is also available in black (JVM3670BF) and white (JVM3670WF) finishes for around $769.

    GE PVM2070SMSS

This unit offers two wire racks and two rack positions as well as 10 power levels. It has a 14.25-inch, glass turntable. GE suggests a price of $649 for this model. The white (PVM2070DMWW) and black (PVM2070DMBB) versions cost about $50 less. This appliance has a four-speed exhaust fan and 92 cooking options grouped under five categories. It is 29.875 inches wide, 16.875 inches high and 15.9375 inches deep.

    GE JVM1665DNWW

    • The manufacturer says this microwave can grill burgers, chicken breasts, pork chops and more. It has red interior with 1.6 cubic feet of space and 1,000 watts of standard cooking power. The grill element can generate 1,200 watts of power. The JVM1665DNWW measures 29.875 inches wide, 16 inches high and 15.375 inches deep. Its sensors automatically adjust cooking time and temperature to match your food's needs. This microwave has a 13.625-inch turntable and one wire rack with two positions. This white appliance has a two-speed exhaust fan and a suggested price of $479. It also comes in black (JVM1665DNBB) for the same price and stainless steel (JVM1665SNSS) for $70 more.
