Instructions

    • 1

Verify that the Whirlpool microwave is firmly plugged into a working power outlet if it is not turning on, or has nothing illuminated on its control panel. Check your circuit breaker box to see if the microwave's circuit has flipped. Reset the circuit breaker, if needed.

    • 2

Unplug the microwave oven from the outlet, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in if the outlet has power but the microwave is not functioning. If it still does not work when plugged into the outlet, plug it into a new outlet and don't plug any other appliances into the same outlet.

    • 3

Open and close the microwave door firmly if the microwave has power but is not working as expected. The microwave will not operate with the door open. Ensure there is no food residue keeping the door from closing completely.

    • 4

Touch the "Stop/Clear" button twice. Select a cooking process and push "Start" to begin if the control buttons do not seem to be working. A previous cooking cycle may not have been cleared properly.

    • 5

Clean the microwave turntable and roller ring with warm, soapy water and rinse well if the turntable is not moving well, or is wobbling as it turns. Dry thoroughly and return to the microwave.

Contact a Whirlpool service center if the above steps do not fix the issue.
