Unlike a microwave, however, you can roast and bake foods like a traditional oven. As of 2011, Nesco offers one model of Jet Stream oven: the JS-400TP. It costs about $180 in April 2011, and you can purchase this item directly from the company or from third-party vendors.

The oven features a top/hold-down rack, which secures light foods to the cooking element. You can also use this rack as an additional cooking level and can change the location of the bottom rack to two different positions.

    Components

    • The Jet Stream oven has an internal light so you can check on the progress of your food. You can turn this light on and off by pushing the light button on the front of the device. It also has a three-hour digital timer. Once you set the timer, you see a "D" on the display after you set it, which indicates the amount of cooking time that is left before your food is done. A wing nut holds the fan blade, and space washers prevent the fan blades from making contact with the fan assembly. It also has a direct-drive motor to improve cooking speeds and to help evenly cook foods.
