# How to Turn Off the Clock on the MMV5207
By default, Maytag's MMV5207 over-the-range microwave oven displays a clock when in standby mode instead of the countdown timer shown during cooking programs. The clock display is optional and is easily turned off within the microwave's menu system. If you find the clock unnecessary, you can switch it off either entirely, or just when the oven isn't in use.
