How to Eliminate Signals From an Amana Microwave

The Amana microwave, manufactured by KitchenAid, has a control feature to turn off beeping. This is an excellent feature to have since the microwave beeps every time you press a button. Turning off these signals could provide some relief for those who use the microwave a lot since continual beeping becomes tedious after a while.

     Press the "control-setup" button on the keypad. The display will show five different modes in repeated succession. This indicates you are in set-up mode.

     Press the "1" button. The display screen will flash, "SOUND ON, TOUCH 1 SOUND OFF TOUCH TWO."

     Press the "2" button to disable the sound signals. Wait a few seconds for the microwave to exit the control-setup settings.
