Ask a family member or friend to assist you in removing the Sharp microwave oven from the wall or under the kitchen cabinets.
Put foam padding on the kitchen countertop or on a nearby table to temporarily place the Sharp microwave oven after you dismount it from under the cabinets or wall.
Open the Sharp microwave oven and remove the carousel tray, close the door and tape it shut with duct tape. This will prevent the door from accidentally opening as you dismount it or while pulling from the wall or out of the cabinet recess.
Open the cabinet doors and unplug the Sharp microwave or unplug it from the electric wall receptacle.
Find the retaining screws holding the microwave below the cabinets or in the mounting plate under the wall-mounted microwave. Unfasten the retaining screws with a screw gun while an assistant holds the microwave.
Pull the microwave from the wall mounting plate or from under the cabinet and place it on the foam rubber. Unfasten the mounting plate with the screw gun to finish.
