How to Get Rid of Microwave Odors Using Charcoal

Finding an odor-eater that eliminates foul scents in your microwave can make the difference between whiffing an unappetizing stench and breathing in enticing aromas when preparing leftovers. Microwaves gain smells from burnt food, molded food particles and food splatters that occur while heating uncovered items. You can eliminate offensive scents in your microwave using activated charcoal, a porous substance that absorbs odors. Home and garden stores and pet shops typically carry activated charcoal particles in granular form.
