How to Reset a GE Profile Microwave Oven

General Electric microwave ovens occasionally display error codes if a fault is detected with any of the internal parts. Before calling for assistance, GE recommends resetting the oven to ensure the error code did not appear due to a faulty signal from a sensor. The reset procedure clears the current cooking instructions and returns the oven to standby mode. Sometimes resetting the oven clears minor technical faults even if there is no error code displayed.
