How to Clean Splatters in a Stainless Convection Microwave Oven Interior

The interior of your microwave convection oven is prone to food splatters caused by overheating food in the appliance, which can build up and diminish the ovens ability to regulate the heating temperature. Eliminating food stains is possible with a mild dishwashing soap to wash the interior without damaging or scratching the finish. Once cleaned, the convection oven can be maintained by covering food with a paper towel to prevent splatters from reoccurring.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill the bowl with tap water and set the bowl on the oven's plate. Set the convection oven's cook time to 10 minute and press "Start." The heating process creates a steam inside of the oven to weaken the interior's stains.

    • 2

Remove the bowl slowly from the oven with oven mittens to protect your hands from the bowl's heat. Wait for the oven to cool down completely before cleaning it.

    • 3

Wet a cleaning cloth and pour 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid into the cloth. Rub the cloth together to create soap suds.

    • 4

Rub the soapy cloth against the inside of the convection oven to remove food splatters. Rinse off the cloth with warm water and squeeze out the excess water.

    • 5

Wipe the oven's interior with the wet cloth to rinse the soap from the interior walls.

    • 6

Rub a dry cloth against the oven's walls to dry the oven.
