Replacing a Light Bulb in a GE Profile Microwave Convection Oven

General Electric Profile series convection ovens combine the core-to-crust heating ability of a microwave with the crisping effects of a conventional oven to provide evenly cooked, perfectly browned food. Unlike normal microwaves, Profile convection ovens do not have an internal light. The cooktop light, located underneath the oven, provides illumination for the cooking surface below. After several years of use the cooktop bulb will eventually burn out; installing a replacement takes about 5 minutes.
