How to Replace the Light Bulb on a GE Microwave JVM1851BH06

The General Electric JVM1851BH06, also known as the GE Spacemaker XL1800, is an over-the-stove microwave that has a hood vent with a light on the underside of the unit. The JVM1851BH06 features a Circuwave 1100 cooking system, which provides more power than the traditional microwave, resulting in shorter cook times. Although microwaves are generally dangerous to repair, the light bulbs are one of the few elements serviceable by the user. After regular use, the light bulbs burn out, at which you point you must access and replace the old bulb or bulbs.
