The GE JHP98G Microwave Cooking Center is a now-discontinued appliance that combined a range and over-the-stove microwave in one. On the GE JHP98G, the microwave is a separate unit from the range and is located at the top of the appliance; however, the microwave is connected to the range. The microwave has two light bulbs, only one of which, the surface light, is it possible for you to service. The microwave oven light, which illuminates when the door is opened and when the microwave is in use, must be replaced by a service technician, as replacing it requires disassembling the microwave. Microwaves carry a lethal level of voltage -- even when unplugged -- and as such are too dangerous for the average homeowner to repair.
